Kent Wines

Discover delicious wines from kent - every bottle curated by a Master of Wine

Kent is at the forefront of the emerging English wine scene. With over 350 acres of vineyards and many, many more being planted (Taittinger, the famous Champagne House have planted 60 hectares at Chilham), Kent is the largest wine producing county in the country and, more importantly, are producing exceptional wines, both still and sparkling.

Our Master of Wine, Clive Barlow, has selected those wines that he feels truly represent the quality, diversity and range that Kent vineyards are now offering.

Clive is the person in the know. Being Canterbury based, he is immersed in the Kent wine scene. As judge of Taste of Kent awards, (2019 winner Woodchurch Sparkling Rosé), he has unparalleled knowledge of the wines from this region, so you can be assured that he will discover some the finest examples available. As we grow, our selection of Kentish wines is growing but over and above the individual wines we have curated a number of wine boxes which highlight the true varietal nature of Kent’s wine and will give you a great example of what Kent has to offer.

We are now delighted to be working with our friends at the Wine Garden of England, an initiative to get wine lovers to come and visit the wineries and vineyards of Kent. There are 7 vineyards who are part of the Wine Garden, six of which are currently producing wine. The vineyards are Biddenden, Balfour Hush Heath, Chapel Down, Domaine Evremond, Gusbourne, Simpsons and Squerryes and we will be adding new wines on a regular basis. However, to start, the vineyards themselves have each chosen a wine (approved by Clive of course!) which reflects their winemaking style and we have made up a case, which you can find below.
